    nice for show and all, but in combat you’ll see your katana flying, when an opponent sees you do that. basicly, you ask for getting disarmed

    even a noob in swordfighting could counterattck that trick.

    this is true I noticed that also. Great skills but never – never – release the grip on the weapon, even and especially during transitions. Because when you miss the cut that’s exactly when you’re being attacked.

    This is real. It really works. I once didn’t think so until I decided to finally break away from my stubborn hard-headed European-style simplicity and held a katana and practiced with it. Totally, totally different. That type of sword requires wrist. Now you couldn’t do that with a broadsword (without having it slapped out real easy), but it might work. The only problem is that the swinging can be timed.

    It looks a nice trick but there is a moment when the guy opens his palm during spining, and this means a great risk of disarming which in swordmanship means fatal end
    I hope this is just a drill to make one more aware of the weapon not a fight trick
