Pretty move, but all your opponent has to do is get a bodylock and lower his base to defend the throw, just like a regular hip toss in wrestling. You usually see the hip toss being employed by novice wrestlers (which is why we call the hiptoss a freshie move), as skilled ones will easily defend it. In addition, you won’t be using a folk/freestyle collar tie in MMA. Judo has good counter throws (I love the uchi mata), but for general takedowns, wrestling is where its at.

These Techniques do work! I cagefight and been in many streetfights and have used the same techniques in the streets. I am more of a standup fighter but very good on the ground having a Brownbelt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. so what would you do if you had no experience and you were on teh ground? You’d be finished and get owned very badly, use these techniques people and listen well!
