VAN DAMME’S PROMO :

Van Damme is one of the most influential of the action movie actors to have shaped an entire film industry with his brilliantly complex depictions of the martial arts. Canada’s StudioLPS pays special appreciation to Van Damme’s considerable movie accomplishments. Van Damme’s films have reportedly made over $640 million dollars with fan appeal worldwide.

It’s hard for any actor to reign favorably throughout an extended movie career. Most actors age, wash up, grow fat or lose their former good looks.. For action heroes there is additional risk of losing their timing, stamina and physical endurance. This video shows Van Damme in his early 40′s returning to his roots and re-inventing himself and his tremendous skills of his youth as he displays near flawless kicks, and strikes along with his humble side mixed with his good-natured wit.

Some people believed Van Damme was only a successful body builder playing the part of a karate expert in his movies. Actually, Van Damme under his real birth name of Van Varenberg was a European Karate champion at the early age of 19, winning the 1979 World All Style Karate Organization Championship in Brussels Belgium and was a contender for the World Karate Championship that same year. As a legitimate black belt expert, Van Damme had considerable mastery over his challenging sport at an unusual young age. His movies illustrate the erupting power and flowing grace of the martial arts in breathtaking details choreographed for better enjoyment of Van Damme’s amazing and legitimate skills, which were seldom embellished through movie cuts or special effects.

Throughout the world, Van Damme was responsible for many youngsters taking up the sport and favorably advancing their own personal growth and manhood in the process.

Such a distinguish story is that of 27-year old Louis-Philippe Simard of StudioLPS, who at age of 4 was the youngest prodigy to be chosen for entry into Canada’s first Taekwondo school under the notable master Chong Lee in 1984. At just age 8, Simard’s remarkable skills were featured in a TV documentary: “Les héros du Samedi” (“The Heroes/Champions of Saturday”. Simard trained also in judo, Shotokan, and Jeet Kune Do. He placed 5th in the Canada 2008 National Canadian Taekwondo Championship (WTF).

Simard is a specialist performing and/or choreographing martial arts fight scenes. He is currently working in the “Ninjaelections” to be released early summer. He was selected to do martial art feats in “”Bon cop, Bad cop” directed by Erik Canuel with actor Patrick Huard. You can enjoy seeing his skills by clicking on his youtube:

he isn’t using the left as much ……. I’m guessing its weaker since they can just invert the pictures to make it seem like the left anyway

i concur with will, just admire the people and their passions , and try and be the best of yourself.

  10. Will137 Says:

    I love how …
I love how persistant he is, “one more” “and one more” etc. Fantastic.

As for people moaning and groaning, it puzzles me why people are so bothered about arguing over fighters/atheletes. I ume they want to be like them, but know they will never be so therefore vent their frustration on youtube. Sad.

  11. Pow3rGaming Says:

    the part where you …
the part where you call my medals that I casually referred to as alleged? I’d say the implication that I’m a poser comes from you saying I am lying about a couple medals. Get a life douchebag. You rant to see your words in print – It’s like an idiot spewing stupid in the form of intangible sentences just to hear himself speak due to the delusion that anything he says stands as a trophy, an accompishment exemplifying some bit of factual evidence that he has a shred of intelligence. H8R

  12. VulcanZoar Says:

    A poser? where did …
A poser? where did I say that. Exactly quote where I stated this. It seems you have a problem reading. I’m sure it’s aligned with the same motive that causes your problem in addressing my valid point, as my original statement that you TRIED to draw out stands still correct, and you cant withdraw from your error. A problem reading, a problem countering my still valid point, and a REAL problem with his confidence in VAnDAmme, since no one attacked him yet U jump like the insecure paranoid LOSER.

  13. Pow3rGaming Says:

    ironic that a troll …
ironic that a troll would start a cyclical argument; I say you’re a hater and you turn around and call me a poser. Big surprise.

  14. VulcanZoar Says:

    “I hate when people …
“I hate when people pretend 2 kno what they r talkin about like U” I hate when people like 2 brag about their alleged experience and medals, like you Pow3rGaming. I dont need 2 build myself up 2 others in order 2 state observations that are there to be seen by fact, unlike U; keep yer alleged medal-talk 2 yerself. My statements stand as correct, look at the frikin video MORON and what I was referring to. U sound like an insecure Vandamme fan disguised as someone tryin 2 fight haters.Wut a loser

  15. Pow3rGaming Says:

    I hate when people …
I hate when people pretend to know what they are talking about like you seem to be here VulcanZoar. I garnered myself 2 medals in competition being able to kick to the head and I’m definitely not more strong than he is. If you get kicked to the head as he is here it is more powerful than a punch. Period. So, exactly what is your point except to say that he isn’t a “real” fighter? Just seems like a hater post in disguise.
And you are perpetuating misinformation. His kicks would hurt.

  16. Pow3rGaming Says:

    angeldog26, I’d …
angeldog26, I’d probably be right, if given the opportunity to evaluate your sad life, when I say, you’re most likely a loser at life. Why don’t you troll or hate somewhere where people don’t have to be exposed to it. You epic failure needing to hate on successful people to make yourself feel better about you. What are you in high school still? in’ loser. Sad pathetic .

  17. Pow3rGaming Says:

    I remember seeing …
I remember seeing some troll hater post that he let himself go… What an ignorant hater statement. Couldn’t be more wrong. lol

  18. angeldog26 Says:

  20. haftir Says:

I love the way he …
I love the way he kicks, and in his movies, the way he does a spinning back kik

  21. VulcanZoar Says:

    Those opening kicks …
Those opening kicks are fine for exercise and familiarizing your own mind with the form of it all, but he wouldn’t be kikin like that for real. You would have to be WAY faster and way more powerful if you trying to kick to the head. At 1:35 that was a good example almost. Van damme is a great personable guy and he brings to Martial arts a friendly picture and a community of athleticism.
