I had them a long time ago, after I learned backflips I lost them becuase I’d always do this weird 180 backflip thing, but I finally have them back after the torquing concept clicked in my head, funny how I made a tutorial for this move a long time ago, when I knew it by its rollerblading name, the misty or bio 540.
Thanks to shinobixtc I was able to come up with this ‘technique’ if you will.
First off I’d recommend you watch his vid first seeing as he’ll explain certain things A LOT better then I do.
This vid shows a very simple way to preform Fei Long’s Rekkaken on a square gate stick, basically al you really have to do is slide it along the sides. I hope that this vid was somewhat informative for certain people out there that are having trouble getting out Fei Long’s Rekkaken.
Sorry for any mispronunciations in the vid. Comments are welcome and if you do give this vid a good rating also do so with sinobixtc’s vid, without his this would not be!
This is a Tae Kwon Do 540 Kick so before you start ebashing me keep in mind that there are several different ways to do a 540 depending on your martial arts style. In TKD alone ther are over 10 different variations to a 540, im teaching the 540 roundhouse kick version the way i was taught and has worked for others around me. So please keep your negative comments to yourself. I also apologise if ive prononced anybodys name wrong in the video.
This is for anyone who wants to learn how to do a 540kick. Some tips first.
-Streach out thoroughly.
-Wear some loose clothing
-Do not attempt this under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
-Any additional questions, email me at blackbeltbob_01@yahoo.com
One last note, this is meant to be a demonstration kick, it is highly improbable to do this kick in an actual fight. it would be best to just stick to the basics like 360′s or strait roundhouse kicks.
I went to Mita Sai 2007 (Keio University’s Major School festival) and video taped the dance team, which has quite the reputation. It was absolutely incredible.
