I sort of know how to defend myself but I wanna learn so deadly moves. I don't wanna go up to some guy with a black belt claiming that he has mastered kung fu, karate, and etc and then let him slowly drain my money each week and teaching me a little… If there are instructions and illustrations I know I can learn it by just following it. And how do we practice dodging very quickly? I must learn all of these myself.
Buy videos or find a teacher to only teach you specific techniques
There is a difference between 'martial arts' and 'self defense'
Martial arts….Most are sports with some self defense skills. When you train in Martial arts you are training more so for sport against other people in that sport.
Self Defense… is really a brief sample of mixed martial arts for situations one may encounter in real life.
I study Ninjutsu am a 3rd degree black belt.
I suggest you divide your 'self defense' into top and bottom in other words stand up and ground fighting.
…GROUND FIGHTING…
First, learn Jujitsu for the ground, then dabble with Judo
…STAND UP…
For stand up, study some Muay Thai | some Wing Chun
…KICKING…
Kicking…Mauy Thai | Tae Kwon Do (kicks only) | Wing Chun (low kicks)
You will have a good foundation for self defense.
Your foundation is Jujitsu as a good ground fighter can defeat a good stand up fighter. Why? Almost all stand up arts have no ground fighting. Most criminals have no ground fighting.
The UFC fighters tend to be Jujitsu on the ground and Muay Thai on top.
Good luck!!
I am interested in taking martial arts, but I am looking for certain things to get out of martial arts. So I was wondering, which martial art strengthens physical strength, mental strength, and improves the ability of self discipline/regulation? I am leaning towards Ninjutsu, but am not completely sure right now.
Japanese Jiu-jitsu I'd suggest.
Best wishes

I'm planning to change my martial arts and don't no which one to choose. Right now im between Capoeira, Kungfu/Wushu, Taekwondo, or Muay Thai. I'm more of a trickster but wants some physically challenging martial art to boost my body.
as many different types as you can, starting with a stand up style.or a style that is well rounded.heres a bit of info.
A good well rounded style would be freestyle Karate. You will learn stand up,ground, grappling and weapons. What a lot of people don't understand is that freestyle Karate is about practical street defence not who can kick the highest or punch a pad the hardest. It's definitely not a sport martial art like TKD or BJJ.The motto of my style is the best of everything in progression.Basically that means we don't care where the technique comes from we improve it and integrate it into our style while still maintaining tradition as do most freestyle Karate's.
The hardest thing is finding a good experienced instructor.I would recommend Bushi Kai or Zen Do Kai, but if your not in Australia or New Zealand you may have some difficulty finding some one who teaches these styles. These styles also usually have separate classes available to everyone in Muay Thai and BJJ/Submission/Shoot wrestling. If you can't find one of these i would suggest Kempo or Enshin or another freestyle Karate.

I think i saw this martial artist once who could draw heat from his body to one point and burn paper. Anyone know of this. If not wat is some other crazy out of this world martial art trick u've seen. Plz let me know thx.
Hatsumi the 34th Grandmaster of Ninjutsu has done some wild things he once was meditating in the rain and the rain stopped running off him like he had some kind of invisible umbrella over him.

PLEEZ I AM MADLY DESPERATE FOR AWNSERS AND HELP
There are many demonstrations on youtube!
I strongly suggest getting at least a student to help but an instructor is more proper and the art has it's etiquette's!
